KDSS Stabilizer ECU location

Hi, I have a KDSS fault standing on my 2014 Land Cruiser ICON. The fault code in C1831 (Accumulator Solenoid Upside). During the last service, I asked the dealer to check this and they told me the suspension system is mechanically sound and they suspect the fault is electrical/wiring. Ive located the accumulator solenoid under the passenger side door and i have managed to check the cable connector - seems ok. I want tocheck the other end of the cable that goes to the stabilzer ECU but i am not sure where that is locations. Can anyone on this forum help me with that.

thansks Mark

thanks @flash22. the cover for the electrical connections shown in the 4th picture - how easy does that come off. I cant see how it is secured. should it pop off with some persuasion using a flat head screwdriver.

it looks destructive ? start with a basic resistance test across the coils

on the black plastic cap it will have a part number something like

48006-60031

@flash22 ive read the procedure you sent me regarding the KDSS checks. To check the resistance of the harness I think i need to disconnect both end - at the ECU and at the accumulator. I have disconnected the end at the accumulator but i dont know where the ECU is located. Can you help and advise me where this is?

thanks , Mark

@flash22 I managed to get some readings on the coils. Was tricky to get a meter on to the pins but think I managed to get some reliable readings:

between pins 4-5 = 26 ohms

Between pins 4-6 = 4.3 ohms

does this point towards an issue with one of the solenoids?

Thanks Mark

@flash22thanks. Thats what i suspected. must be shorting to ground inside the housing assembly. I guess the next step is to remove this and open it up to check the condition inside as shown in the attachment below. Do you know if you can get spare reconditioned parts for this rather than the whole solenoid unit including hydraulics?

I have not come across any rebuild kits the solenoid and sensor look to be welded to the lines in that plastic housing, im not sure undoing the 3 torx screws will get you very far

thanks @flash22. some good information there. That should give me some good ideas on how to progress.

On another note, I dont suppose you have the Aircon piping schematics for this land cruiser (2014 Land Cruiser ICON). I have a leak and want to try and identify the part.
