Daylight Running Lights

Out this morning and noticed both a 2019 & 2023 Corolla with the DRL’s looking like 3 LED’s under the edge of the bonnet.

My Excel has them looking like a flash near the headlight. I’ve never noticed this difference before, is it trim level dependant?

Yes, the icons seem to have the old leds like the Auris.

Higher up models get more stylish swooping led on the front - although I quite like the 3 led setup on mine as it's super bright.

Our 72 plate GR TS has these lights my 23 plate Excel has what are called the J light system when the DTRL's are also the indicators.

Thanks guys, hadn’t noticed the difference until the other day. I ordered my car in August 2019 and it didn’t arrive until the end of November 19. In that time I hadn’t see one on the road and it took two years before they appeared regularly. Now there are loads about so I should really have noticed this difference sooner.
