Battery Blown Fuse

Hi All, 

Auris 2018 Hybrid.

I have added a power cable (connected to a music Amp) to the accessory terminal on the Battery, Obviously I earthed the Amp but when I connected the + power cable into the power block it blew the Fuse on the Battery acc terminal (Photo added) The Fuse holder says J222 and it`s a 140 Amps, I guess this one goes to the front of the car for jumping this/another car.

How do I change this fuse as I couldn't see a way.

Doesnt look to be a user serviceable part. Best lookup the part number on partsouq.com and replace the whole junction block with the embedded fuse.

Obviously worth finding the cause before replacing.

Did you just say you blew a fuse rated at 140 amps?

you must have a dead short to blow a 140a fusible link, you didn't fit the terminal cover or mis wired your grounds, what amps are you running?

yep its a complete unit - 82620-47070

I see the Battery terminal is not on the post fully

Perhaps @French Auris hasnt replied to us as they have killed themselves with a 140a charge ? Certainly enough to stop your heart. 

Always remove the negative terminal of the 12v auxiliary Battery first, when working on the positive terminal. This prevents any accidental "spanner shorts" to the surrounding  body/chassis earth.

More than enough. All it needs is a few milliamps (mA).

I think the Amplifier wasn`t grounded properly, Silly me.

Perhaps I don`t live on the internet all day, maybe that`s why I didn`t reply.
