Is this rear reinforce metal bar bent? or it's normal shape

Hi, just got my car back from the garage after a rear ended accident. I thought the rear reinforce bar was slightly bent and expected the garage would restore it. however it seems they didn't touch it and just replaced the bumper, I have no idea what the undamaged reinforce bar looks like? if the metal bar cuved to front is normal, it dosen't make sense to me, as it will make the bar weak against the external force from the back, or maybe I am wrong, I would like to have your expertise inputs before I talk to the garage manager.  thank you very much

I think it would follow the curve of the plastic bumper.

Try comparing it to one being sold on eBay.

thanks Graeme, had a look at the one on eBay, it seems slightly curved to the opposite direction, make sense to me, but not 100% sure it's the exact same bar.

If it was an impact there it is definitely a bend part and should have been replaced. We can see the chasis number sticker on so definitely not been done.
You have the point and you can complain and ask for re do the work.

thank you Tony. got other issues with the new bumper as well, not happy with the work they have done at all, and don't understand why this LV approved repairer didn't do the proper job for me, as it will not cost any penny to LV, the third party insurer will has to pay whatever cost is for the repair.

it's going to be tough to fight with the garage!

Involve LV?

have sent the photos and video to the repairer and waiting for the response, if they refuse to re do the work, will talk to LV.

Good idea!

An approved repairer should be expected to reach a certain level of repair, so perhaps suggest that an independent examiner takes a look at it.
