Long story short the gas rans out one month after regas. Been to 3 garages in NW London and been assured that there are no leaks. 
 

I'll greatly appreciate any recommendations of a specialist in London or if there's something specific that can be done to solve this issue.
 

I'd like to mention that I have used the aircon daily however, one month after regas the compressor stops working and only warm air is blown in the cabin.

Auris 2018 Hybrid.

I have added a power cable (connected to a music Amp) to the accessory terminal on the Battery, Obviously I earthed the Amp but when I connected the + power cable into the power block it blew the Fuse on the Battery acc terminal (Photo added) The Fuse holder says J222 and it`s a 140 Amps, I guess this one goes to the front of the car for jumping this/another car.

How do I change this fuse as I couldn't see a way.

Car: Auris 1.6 TR  2007

My car has developed steering wobble, which seems worse if tyre pressure is low. The brakes also pulse at the same point (if that makes sense) and there is a rubbing/chaffing sound at the same point. 

I think it started after I hit a kerb (OSF tyre and possibly OSR) and went over it at around 20 miles an hour on a roundabout but not 100% sure of this. Front pads and brake discs are new-ish, rear pads are also newish but discs are quite old but the car passed MoT with the steering wobble/pulsing brakes issues with no advisories.

Where should I start with a diagnosis of the issue? I was thinking of swapping the front wheels and back wheels to see if that makes any difference to start...

Any other ideas?

I would like to obtain my toyota keycode for the physical key blade. However my local toyota dealer will not give me my keycode. They are only offering to make me a replacement key (several hundred pounds).

I have tried removing the drivers door key barrel and that has no keycode number on it. I was told by my locksmith that only japanese models have it there (mines being a uk model).

For now i have a full spare key made by my locksmith, at a fraction of the dealer price. It took him several copy/cut attempts with some eye-balling tweaks to get it to finally work with both door and ignition locks.  I am sure his job would have been easier had he be given a keycode.

So, I would still like to obtain my actual toyota keycode number.

Anybody else had any joy obtaining the keycode? Is it just my local dealer being greedy/awkward/anal or is it toyota policy to not provide this info?

New here as I've just purchased an Auris (as per the title).

This will be my first Toyota (once it's prepped and I've picked it up) which I've heard many good things about.

The only thing I could find wrong with the car was that the roof Ariel has been unscrewed and lost at some stage.

I've tried tirelessly to find replacements online but I can't locate specific part numbers and from the used parts I can find I can't tell which are genuine and which are aftermarket.

Does this aerial provide DAB signal to the car or is it just am/FM and the DAB aerial located elsewhere. This is where my confusion starts as I seem to know what the standard aerial looks like (long, thin with spiral pattern around with smooth cylinder near the top) but don't know if this picks up DAB or if there is a DAB variant that looks completely different.

1. New engine oil and filter

2. New transmission fluid - drain and refill 3 litres 

3. New spark plugs - older one looked good and easy to undo them, the trick is let the engine running for 5 min before you start , in colder weather 10min is fine.

4. New air filter and Pollen filter

5. Engine coolant 5 litres- you can do that without even taking the engine under cover, you need a 9mm ID clear tube 30cm long and an empty container, perhaps a gallon from the same stuff. , again drain and refill. Before you start set heating to max temperature and blower speed 1, and after refill set the car into maintenance mode it takes around 20-30min running and the engine coolant needs to reach 95C° and thermostat to open and both radiator fans to kick in and spin. Add coolant as necessary. 
6. Inverter coolant drain ad refill, around 2 litres of coolant , again after you fill up full turn on the car and immediately turn off, go to the engine bay and top up to max. Repeat this process 3 times, set the level just above max. 
7. Fit engine undercover after all checked for fluids leaks. Use new plastic clips where old one are broken, also best to replace front M6 bolts with stainless steel ones, I did that many years ago. 👌

Well that’s pretty much all. I hope for another few 000 trouble free miles🏎🏁👍

I have recently converted my halogen headlight bulbs to LED ones on my auris. But the left headlight's lighting pattern seems to be quite off compared to the right. 

Both sides LED are at the same position inside the lens, (3 and 9 o'clock)

I have seen other guys headlight projections on the wall with LED's and are actually okay. What might be wrong? Thank you in advance.

Hoping for an education on where and how to clear all of the rain/water drainage holes on my Auris mk1.

Over time they get blocked/dirty & need to be cleared.

Need guidance in where they all are & how to do it competently.

I made some improvements and posted it here, enjoy...

You're gonna need two parts:

Cable

and switch

(You can see the part numbers on the pictures)

Next you have to connect the wire to the switch

After that, remove the cover caps from both sides of the wheel

After removing you will see the following:

(there is a possibility that the caps don't exist, if so, you'll see one screw on both sides of the wheel,

and should just continue to the next step)

Remove the screws (TORX 30).

Pull the airbag covers' upper side towards yourself. DO NOT disconnect the airbag's wire!

Put the switch to it's place from the inside of the right hole (or make the hole in case

you didn't do the "remove the covers from both sides of the wheel" -step because of

not having any covers.

After that just tighten the switch with two M5x10mm, not M6

I need such schemas in order to be able to open such panels to put the cables of the Dashcam. I already have that on the Corolla E12, but I want to do the same on this car without risking to break the plastic rivets

I have purchased a pioneer da230dab unit with CarPlay.. everything works fine and im loving it.. DAB, steering wheel controls etc all work fine.

I am struggling to get the factory fitted rear camera working.. i have connected a 16 pin connector with an RCA socket to the back of the pioneer but struggling a bit to understand where the ground or accessory power go..

Also there is a mention of having to drop the voltage down from 12v to 6v -  i have read around that this is a requirement for a subaru, but not sure on the Auris.. anyone know the answer?

I have tried to work out what is holding it together (retaining clip? ) without success and I do not want to force it

I’m seeking help with my Toyota Auris 1.4 D-4D T3 5DR, 2009 model. I have a problem with changing gears. When I’m moving and try to shift into second gear, it gets stuck on first and won’t change. I press the clutch again and try to shift; on the second or third attempt, it engages (after driving for approximately 30 minutes, the problem seems to disappear).

In the past few days, a similar issue has occurred when trying to shift into third gear. Another strange thing is that when I shift up from 1 to 5, it’s okay; sometimes, I just have to press the clutch. However, when I downshift from 5 to 4, I first have to shift into third and then into fourth, similar to shifting into third (first into second, then third). Perhaps my mechanics are not knowledgeable enough to solve or identify this problem. It keeps getting worse, and I’m worried as I use the car every day. Could you please give me some advice?

I have a 2012 hybrid Auris and for the past few months I’ve noticed an intermittent sputtering noise coming from the engine and exhaust. This is always associated with a bad smell, almost like burning fuel, coming through the vents when the noise starts. I’ve taken it to the mechanic but each time, the noise has stopped once I arrive there so no cause has been found.

- I’ve noted the noise generally starts after driving in high RPM for a while, I.e. reaching the top of a hill or travelling at a higher speed and RPM

- the car starts to shake and shudder, more noticeable when idle, and feels like the engine will cut out at any moment.

- when idle, the exhaust sounds like a terrible muffler on a modified car

- the noise disappears when the car switches into electric/battery mode

Any help would be appreciated please!

I've always put 15w40 mineral oil in my 1st gen Auris.

But, I've also got about 1 litre expensive fully synthetic 5w-30 oil leftover from a different car/oil change (oil about 1 year old, and in an opened 5l bottle, stored indoors).

Can I throw it in the mix safely?

I'm thinking if anything, this will improve slightly the overall quality of the oil.
