That's on the dash. Improved it to 65.9 overall after a drive today but agree that the figures can't be trusted. Which system do you use to get more accurate figures?

I always do the same thing when I fill up. Neck to neck. Admittedly, I am using the mileage shown by the odometer which, in itself, may be inaccurate but at least it is consistent and I never go by pump clicks either. I've managed to squeeze nearly 2 more litres in sometimes by ignoring the clicks so it always gets filled to the same level on the neck (after the air has settled).

Thanks for confirming your door is ok. Sounds like I need to take the panel off and see what's making it buzz 🪛

Why don't you get the dealer to look at it under warranty?

As an ex mechanic I prefer to do small jobs like this myself. I'll know it will be done correctly and it's ultimately less hassle.

Oou me to.  Always look forward to pulling a car apart.  Did the towbar on my mate’s new LBX last week.  Incidentally, I was very impressed by it having a washer on the rear camera.

Tut tut!! I thought you’d know better Colin. You’ll be damaging the vapour trap by filling to the neck.

Nice to see you stripping cars down again Don.  By the way, did you get the chance to try out the drivers seat and if so, is it any better than the Yaris Cross?

No, never do that, it's a right palaver finding the sump plug when it drops through.

You're supposed to put wife's coat over the grate to catch such things.

Only done 500 miles in mine but averaging 64.6 mpg.

Do you notice the drivers door speaker resonating? I've turned the bass down to -2 but it still happens unless I set the balance/fade to not use that part of the car so much

Interestingly, my pre-facelift Excel exhibited this same problem shortly after I bought it - Certain bass frequencies (I guess) made something resonate in the driver-side door.

It sounded like a cable or connector that wasn't fastened properly and was vibrating against the door card.

I was going to take the door card off to try and figure out what it was (In my experience, unless you can find and document a consistent way to reproduce the symptom, getting the dealer to look at it is just a waste of time and possible diagnostic fee), but before I got around to it, the problem somehow fixed itself - I can only assume all the potholes, speed humps, washboard road wear, M25 concrete section expansion gaps etc. I regularly drive over somehow jogged whatever was resonating into a position where it was jammed :confused1:

Haven't noticed that on mine. Super sound even at high levels...

Just wondering Colin is the JBL sound system upgraded compared to the launch edition ?

I don't think so, it appears to be an identical unit.

The windscreen is now a Pilkington product so I wonder if that is the "acoustic glass" also?

On Italian forums I'm reading of many cases of cracks ( often on internal side ) of the windscreen of MY24 HB Yaris ( I've not read of cases involving MY24 YC ).   Dealers have told customers that they will replace the windscreen under warranty.

Probably the issue is caused by thermal glass deformation and not by a stone hitting the glass.

Do you know of similar cases in UK or if there's some open recall action ?

The windscreen on my wife's MY24 Yaris Excel cracked at the top of the passenger side whilst the car was parked on our drive. I was able to find the exact moment on CCTV and provided a copy to our local dealer for a warranty claim to be made. Still waiting for a response from Toyota and will chase again now I know there have been other cases.

I was informed today by my local Toyota dealer. that there is a possibility my new YC excel order, may be brought forward, due to a build stoppage of Yaris cars, because of windscreen problems.

My standard Yaris premier has been showing as left the factory for almost a week now don’t know if that was before or after the stoppage.
