CVT filler plug location 1.33 MK3 Yaris

Hi everyone,

New member here, and after a bit of help. Does anyone know where the filler plug is? (or any other way I can top of the gearbox oil)

I did something a bit silly earlier - I wanted to change the engine oil, but undid the wrong plug (d'oh!). Luckily the car was warm and only about a litre of gearbox fluid came out, but I don't really want to drive it until I've put it back in there..

Any help greatly appreciated

The 1.33 uses the K411 cvt iirc the fill is on the side of the gearbox

the correct fluid is Toyota CVTF-TC

Plug - 90341-18077 (not needed just for refrence)

washer - 90432-18008

Thanks ever so much! Very helpful! Good day to you sir 😊

Do you know if it's a case of simply topping topping up the oil - some auto boxes need to have the oil pumped out or something, so I've heard

it's just a top up, you only need to prime and set temps and levels on a fluid and filter change

Do you know if a 2014 Mk 3(pre facelift) has the same Multidrive (CVT) Bob?

My manual lists "Toyota Genuine CVT Fluid FE" as the correct one.

I understand some have a combined drain and fill level tube on the bottom and a certain transmission temperature is required to achieve the correct level.

I think the total capacity is 6.4 litre

Toyota CVTF-TC

Is that different to the FE?

The fluid type, TC or FE, is stamped on the fill plug.

TC was Toyota's first CVT fluid. FE, a lower-viscosity fluid, was phased in around 2012.
