Aygo mk2 2021 space saver wheelhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221860-aygo-mk2-2021-space-saver-wheel/ Hey everyone,

I've got a 2021 Aygo x-play with 15" steel wheels. Does anyone know if you can swap out the inflation kit for a space saver spare wheel? I'd prefer that instead of the repair kit. They seem pretty cheap on eBay but they all say they are for models 2005-2020 and mine was made in 2021.

Are they all the same wheel between all the Aygos/108s/c1s? Or did they change something so they don't fit in the boot in the later models?

Any advice gratefully received.

Window switch affect engine revs?!https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221839-window-switch-affect-engine-revs/ Hi all I've owned my 2013 Toyota aygo for about 6months now and i love it

But I've got an issue with the driver side window switch... it works fine moving the window up/down but when I fully close the window up and let the switch go, the motor/actuator that moves the window makes a loud clicking sound for about 10 seconds almost as if its still trying to move the window upwards?!? And most confusing of all, if I hold the switch upward (even for 2-3 secs) and don't let go, I can feel and see the engine revs go down and I assume if I held the switch for longer it would switch off the engine... my best guess is this could be a faulty motor/actuator for the window causing an issue with the electrics but I really don't know?

any idea would be greatly appreciated

Aygo - lost the only key I havehttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/204250-aygo-lost-the-only-key-i-have/ Good evening. I have a very basic 1.0 2009 Aygo.

I have lost my only Key, what is my best course of action.

Toyota have quoted me £820 for new ECU, key and programming.

That is just not viable. The car isn't worth that.

Any suggestions please. Many thanks.

Any advise greatly appreciated!!

RSA alerts when car is well below speed limithttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/220852-rsa-alerts-when-car-is-well-below-speed-limit/ Good morning,

I have had my 2022 Aygo X Exclusive for 10 days and have sussed out all of the settings, bleeps and warnings.

One thing that is annoying me is that even if I am well under the speed limit the RSA symbol turns red and bleeps at me. I know it isn’t always 100% accurate but for example exiting a roundabout onto a 50 mph road this morning the alert turned red and bleeped at me even though I was only traveling at 35mph. The symbol stayed red for ages even when I have increased my speed to just under 50mph.

is this normal?

Thank you

Power to the Bluetoothhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221826-power-to-the-bluetooth/ There’s no lights on the bluetooth control next to the rear-view mirror so no connectivity. I’m guessing I need to remove the stereo to test wires but where else should I be looking? Any specific locations?

Aux belt tensionerhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221686-aux-belt-tensioner/ I’ve bought a 2010 Aygo with an engine whistle. I thought it might be the alternator or the belt (or whatever else runs off it) so bought replacements.
I started swapping the parts today and found that the tensioning bracket for the belt is broken in two, which I now suspect was the culprit (although the alternator was cracked too).
I need a new bracket but can’t find the part number on any catalogue and don’t know what to call it.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

Aygo X - Review after 1 weekhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221600-aygo-x-review-after-1-week/ Hi Folks, yay! our new Aygo X Exclusive Auto Canvas in Juniper Blue arrived last week. We've been getting used to it.

So - what do we think?

Well it's taken me a while to find a nice driving position, as the wheel adjusts only for height, not reach, but the seat is very adjustable. Have set the drivers seat (for me) all the way down, and all the way back. Leaves no room in the back seat behind, but knew that would happen. Also the steering wheel position can mean you can't quite see all the data on the 'mobile phone' on the dash. Been experimenting and now got it sorted. Comfy now and can see the screen properly! Feel a bit squeezed at the sides by the seats but something I'll have to get used to.

In terms of driving - love the little petrol engine, very torquey if you're just bumbling along, and likes to be revved too. If you're feeling like being more engaged in the driving experience you can use the flappy paddles which puts in 7 artificial gears, and makes it quite a lot of fun. When you're not in the mood, you leave it in drive and let the AI do its thing. It's not a rocket ship with 71bhp of course but good fun to drive. The adaptive cruise control (which im a big fan of) is a bit of a cruder version than on our ex-Yaris Cross, but still works well.

Handling is good, steering superb, tyres are skinny but capable enough. Suspension is a tad bouncy due to the short wheelbase, but car is pretty comfortable generally. My car came equipped with Michelin E-energy tyres. I feel lucky, as they seem quite premium.

The boot, while small, had a week's shopping in it recently, and I didn't even have to fold the back seats down!

But the big thing is the sunroof. It's BRILLIANT. There is a lot of flexibility in what position you can have it in, and the whole mechanism appears very sturdy. We'll see. Big old space above when it's fully open. No bad wind buffeting when open as long as you stay below 50mph. When closed, seals really well, and is fairly quiet. Wish the car had a light coloured headlining, as when the roof is closed it's a bit dark in there.

Doors are a funny combo. Fronts close with a satisfying thunk. Rears are the tinniest ever. I'll use the rears once in a blue moon, so don't particularly care about this.

Haven't been on a motorway yet, but done a lot of country road driving. On the brand new engine after just a couple of hundred miles and a lot of cold starts, im averaging about 49mpg. Expecting this to improve as it loosens up. High mpg trip so far was a 64mpg - not too bad. On short trips to our local village, 2.2 miles, it will usually do about 35mpg. Our Yaris Cross used to be 40-45mpg on that short trip starting from cold. BUT the AYGO X is 10 grand cheaper! So 'so what' if it costs me another fiver on fuel every 2 weeks.

The insurance is 100 pounds less than the Yaris Cross. The monthly PCP payment is half the Yaris Cross payment. I will plan to pay it off early too. The service plan was curiously 2 pounds more a month. Maybe thats just inflation for you.

Thats it for now folks. Plan to update this review again after a month. If anyone has specific questions, let me know

Cheers!

Permanently disable LTA and RSAhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/220159-permanently-disable-lta-and-rsa/ I have bought an Aygo Exclusive 2024. Does anyone know of a way of disabling the LTA and RSA permanently instead of having to do it each time you start a journey. I know you can disable the LTA with the button the steering wheel and the RSA through the menu options but of course they come back on when you restart your car. It is particularly annoying as negotiating the many potholes inevitably mean you cross a white line at some stage and as it is a car with a small engine (no problem for me) you have to accelerate uphill especially if you have more than one person in the car and if you happen to go just 1 mile over speed limit it starts beeping which I am finding extremely annoying. Dealership have no idea - if anyone has managed this on an Aygo your advice would be very welcome!

Aygo X Sound System Qualityhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221649-aygo-x-sound-system-quality/ Hi all,

We are hoping to purchase a new Aygo-X Exclusive and considering the JBL premium sound system upgrade.

Does anyone have this option? I can't seem to find many reviews on it. I am not looking for super-heavy bass, but would like a good sound quality. Maybe the standard sound system is good enough (not sure if this is also a JBL system).

Also I see that the the premium sub-woofer is boot-mounted in the spare wheel well, with a repair kit replacing a spare so need to weigh this up as well.

Aygo Satnavhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221707-aygo-satnav/ Hello people.

In my 2016 Aygo I have the built in Satnav. I must say, personally I find it really simple, clear and easy to use. I have only had my current Aygo a few months now but have used the Nav lots and have no complaints.

one thing I was wondering.. in the glovebox is a module that has a little door, and behind the door takes the memory card for the nav.. does a anyone know if I can buy the latest card they ever made for my nav? I’m assuming whatever card is in mine isn’t likely to be the last one they made. But would need to check versions I guess.

I know I could switch to using a phone nav for free, but I like the built in one, and will just switch to the phone if there is somewhere it can’t find.

Thanks for any help.

Well that was expensive 😳https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221645-well-that-was-expensive-%F0%9F%98%B3/ Just had required work done to my "new to me Aygo" just under £1000. Full service, new tyres, discs, pads, rear drum adjusters (they were missing) new brake pipes, rocker cover gasket, drop pins and bushes, brake cylinder (it was leaking) a new Battery oh and a side light bulb. I think that's everything. Hopefully it's sound now, just needs a small weld on the offside sill.

Headlights on AB10 and AB20https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221680-headlights-on-ab10-and-ab20/ I have a 2007 Aygo [AB10] and was wondering if the lights on the facelifted car 2008-2014 [AB20] will fit mine.

There seems to be additional brackets on the earlier one [https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/196432636021] that aren't on the later one [https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/196428868956]

Has anyone retrofitted those lights to an earlier car ?

Aygo Blue 2010 Bluetooth How to Usehttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221427-aygo-blue-2010-bluetooth-how-to-use/ Hi, we have just got our son a 2010 Toyota Aygo Blue and cannot figure out how the bluetooth works! As I understand it, bluetooth did come as standard with this model and it has a little panel up behind the rearview mirror. It doesn't look like any of the pictures I have found online, but it is similar to the Parrot device. Anyway, all we can get it to do is say 'connecting' when we press one of the buttons with a green light, but it doesn't connect and we can't get it to do anything else! I also can't find a manual anywhere online to tell me how it works! Maybe it's disconnected, who knows but I am hopeful in so far that it does say it's connecting!

If anyone has any instructions/manual for the device I would really appreciate it, can't find anything in the cars user manual.

X-Touch Software Update?https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/201522-x-touch-software-update/ Hi everyone,

Hopefully this is the best place to post this.

I have a 2018 Toyota Aygo. The X-Touch multimedia system has never been updated - the Toyota website doesn't make it very easy to work out which update (if any?) is correct for my system.

I have attached a photo showing the current firmware version. (Excuse the dust; somehow it looks worse in the photo than real life!)

Does anyone know if there's a newer version I can install, and where I can obtain it?

Thanks 🙂

Aygo X Hot dashboard above steering wheelhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221460-aygo-x-hot-dashboard-above-steering-wheel/ Evening all…

Picked up my Aygo X a month ago 72 plate-really like the look of it and still getting used to the biting point, gear changes etc…

It might be my imagination but…The dashboard above the steering wheel ie above the speedo panel seems very hot especially on journeys over about half an hour. It’s making me nervous and although no warning lights have come on to suggest overheating but it just doesn’t seem right.

Anyone experience anything similar? Should I be concerned?

Thanks!

Number of seats???https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221661-number-of-seats/ Me again..... Just received my v5 for the Aygo and it says 5 seats. The car has 4 seatbelts 2 front, 2 back. Is this normal or am I missing a central belt? I can't find any evidence to suggest a central belt has been there at any point 🤔 Seems odd it's considered a five seater given the size too. My two youngest children only just fit comfortably in the back.

<![CDATA[Growly Engine & Noisy Air Con On 2020 Aygo]]>https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221569-growly-engine-noisy-air-con-on-2020-aygo/ Our 2020 Aygo is due its first MOT and service since we bought it.

Generally very happy with it, but we'd appreciate input on a couple of noise issues from those who know more about cars than us (so pretty much everybody).

The air con fan has developed a whistle come whine that can almost drown out the stereo. Is that likely a fan / fan bearing and is it an expensive fix? And not covered by the Toyota warranty that's got a year to run?

The other minor thing is a slightly 'growly' engine sound as you rev up. It's not that unpleasant - petrol heads would probably like it in a performance car. We're not overly bothered by it but we've been in other same model Aygos and their engines are noticeably quieter. It's not an exhaust rattle and was present when we bought it nearly a year ago. A friend who knows marginally more than us wondered if it could be a timing issue that could be easily rectified?

It was bought from a main dealer who'd done all its servicing. We'll probably be using a good independent garage for this full service. Model is MY18 x-clusive 4, petrol, manual, only done 20000 miles.

Noisy front brakeshttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221610-noisy-front-brakes/ Hi everyone,I’m looking for some advice please. 2015 Aygo.

The front pads and discs were replaced when I bought it as it had a really bad judder under braking. Brakes been fine and silent since ( about 400 miles ).

Now when I brake I get a rubbing noise ( on and off, almost as if the disk is warped, but no vibration) ??

anyone else had a similar issues ??

( thinking maybe a caliper slider might not be sliding as it should? )

Want to see if anyone has experienced and fixed a similar issue , before I go through with a warranty claim.

cheers 🤞
