2024 CH-R Key not recognised & Check back seats

Hi,

I’ve got a couple of issues with my new CH-R.

My keys keep going into ‘Key not recognised mode’ to the point I can’t lock the doors etc. I’ve had both batteries replaced last weekend and it has done it again this evening. Anyone else with the same issue?

also, how to you remove the ‘check rear seats’ alert. I mute it each time but surely there is a way of turning it off as it’s so annoying to have the car beeping at you when you’ve already walked away (if I forget to mute!) ?

any advise would be appreciated! Otherwise it’s back to the dealership for second week in a row :(

I have not got the 'key not recognised' problem, but do have the 'check rear seats' one. As you say, annoying when you have locked the car and when you turn your back, it beeps at you and then when you look through the window, it tells you to check the rear seats! A bit late then. 😊

I have seen on a YouTube video were the presenter says that if you open a rear door at the start of a journey, say to put your jacket on the the back seat. If you open a rear door at the end of the journey it won't beep. But if you don't open a rear door it will beep to remind you. When I tried it yesterday in my drive it didn't stop the beeps. But I hadn't driven the car out of the drive. Will test it again when I go on a journey.

One of the batteries had to be change on a key after it died after a few days. Local dealer said they’d had the issue on a few different new cars. We get the check rear seats thing , just ignore it 🤷‍♂️

If it's the same as on my Corolla (My23) you should find it in the Settings - Vehicle Customise, and then Rear Seat Reminder should be here.
