Just bought a mk1 Yaris the other week and it’s my first Toyota 🙂

Cracking wee car, 1.3, 5 door auto, 51k on the clock £1500, unbelievable. I was on the lookout for a cheap run around too save some pennies. After owning a long line of fuel thirsty cars, last being a 3.0 v6 Touareg, this wee thing is a complete change for me.

Already spent a few quid on some upgrades and comforts and can’t believe the price of the parts for these cars! I bought 4 new tyres for nearly the same price as one on the Touareg! Brakes, exhaust, everything is so much cheaper, not to mention the fuel am now saving!

Anyways, am sure I’ll be navigating the forums for some ideas and tips. First being an upgrade to the T-sport front seats and probably some lowering springs 😂

Cheeeerrsss!

Hello from "Saf" Londonhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221863-hello-from-saf-london/ Hi everyone,

I stumbled across this site when searching online for used Prius+ and on that note, if there is a place on this site where I can get advice on buying one, that would be great. I'll happily continue that conversation there.

Tried the forum search but nothing immediately popped up.

Look forward to learning from you all.

Nugget inbound on Fridayhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221835-nugget-inbound-on-friday/ Hello Aygoers,

Just saying hello from sunny Brighton as I will be picking up my red 2021 Aygo x-play that's done 6,000 miles on Friday.

I've made some terrible decisions with cars in the past and I'm kind of done with it all now. From a Fiesta with a wet belt (who on earth thought that was a good idea), to very very expensive pearlescent paint jobs, to ridiculously expensive PCPs and negative equity. The list goes on and I should never be allowed in a dealership unless accompanied by an accountant or bank manager.

Anyway I'm trying to be better, so I've bought this little nugget outright and hope to keep it with its service activated warranty for 7 hopefully hassle free years, by which time my mortgage will be paid off and I'll be close to retirement. Then I think I can be stupid with cars again for a while.

If anyone has any recommendations for a cheapish buff/polish around me please let me know as I'll probably treat the nugget to celebrate it's new ownership.

All the best everyone,

GB

Hi. Suffolk newbie here.https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221796-hi-suffolk-newbie-here/ Just spent this p.m. surfing the toyotaownersclub.  We’ve recently bought a new Corolla Touring Sport.

My partner and I share the car and - so far (a week) - we love it.

We are still discovering all its features and there clearly is a great library of useful practical help and advice on offer.

In no particular order, we’ve previously owned an Austin Metro, a couple of Ford Focuses, Peugeot 308, 405, 406, MG Montego, Citroen Saxo, and probably one or two cars I’ve forgotten about.

New member from The Midlandshttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221797-new-member-from-the-midlands/ Hi All
Thought I would join as seems to be a friendly bunch of folks on here.
I'm hoping to buy a September 2014 Rav4 in the next month although the postings about theft might change my mind but I'll ask some specifics on that forum.
Looking at a Rav4 as my wife is disabled and we need something bigger than our current Kia Venga for her disability stuff.
Also needs to be petrol and auto.
The one we have seen is an Invincible trim so has quite a few toys although I think its a bit overpriced for what it is but my wife loves it so who am I to argue.

Anyway, thanks for letting me sign up and looking forward to increasing my Toyota knowledge through real world user experience.

New memberhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221752-new-member/ Hi all

I'm Jeroen from the Netherlands. A really Petrolhead.

I have owned a lot of cars, and some where really nice and fast. Jaguar XFR, Nissan Skyline, Audi S6 V10, Porsche 944 (type 2) etc

I dont care if a car is expensive or not, i like all of them, especially when they are in very good condition, and well maintained.

Recently i bought a 2017 Aygo X-Joy. I have mounted a Musketier bodykit, installed a cruisecontrol which works with the original speedlimiter, i have now both, retrofit the X-nav for the carplay version. And i'm waiting for my 16" OZ Ultraleggera's with 195-45-16 Tyres, in black.

My wife ownes a 2018 Corolla Hybrid.

I have a hobbygarage with a lift and most of the maintenance i'll do it by myself. Than i know for sure that it is done, and the wright way 😜

Hello!https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221675-hello/ Hi everyone!

I'm from Sweden and Toyota runs in the family... However, currently there's just one Toyota in our garage; a low-mileage five-door Corolla liftback 1992. A real classic, in close to "mint condition".😊

Ex-Toyota Salesmanhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221129-ex-toyota-salesman/ Hi all!

worked for main dealer for 12 years, Gold Level Toyota Sales certified from TGB. Now with another Far Eastern manufacturer which isn’t really a patch on Toyota.

Current 2021 RAV4 plug in owner, previously owned an Aygo Ice (2012) and Yaris Edition (2011) between wife and I. In-laws currently on a Corolla and gen1 Aygo - previously 2 Auris and Yaris and my own dad is in a 2019 RAV4.

Prospectively looking to own a JDM Crown or MarkX.

Toyota Yarishttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221606-toyota-yaris/ I myself am the so-called a "long-time" Toyota driver who has had a lot of Toyotas with different model names in my use over the course of several dozen years.
This is because, for me, a car is a means of transportation to get from point A to point B. The more carefree, the better. As a brand, Toyota has fulfilled that requirement with 100% certainty.

Now that both myself and my wife have retired, we gave up my previous Toyota Corolla and bought a new Toyota Yaris AC 1.5 Dual VVT-i Y20 Edition 5ov Multidrive S vehicle for my wife (2019).
For the time being, I myself still ride a motorcycle when there is no snow on the ground. In addition, I acted, as much as you can in current cars, as my wife's mechanic in car problems, which presumably do not occur in Toyota.

Mk 1 avensis 1.8 gs petrolhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221604-mk-1-avensis-18-gs-petrol/ Hello all ,,

I’ve posted on here a couple of times

I’ve inherited my dads 26 year old mk1 avensis 1.8 .. in all the time my dad had it , it’s never ever .. not started or broke down or ever gone wrong . No warning lights .. nothing . It’s been sat idle in a garage for 2 years . I’ve put a new ignition switch on & starter relay , & it went straight through its mot .. no advisories.. unbelievable for a 26 year old car . Apart from 1 new clutch , timing belt & water pump ( which I did myself ) it’s a very very reliable car . ( only 72000 miles ) now I know why my dad would never treat himself & change it . It may not be fast .. but it does the job & doesn’t cost silly money in repairs .. great car

First Toyota owner - Corolla TS 1.8https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221535-first-toyota-owner-corolla-ts-18/ Hey all, finally got around to posting a hi in the forum. Recently had to replace our car and after looking around decided on the Corolla TS 1.8. A number of things drew me to it: amazing fuel economy, features, looks, and also that it was built in Derby.

Bagged a great 2020 model and loving it so far. The only downside is it’s been a while since I’ve cared about taking care of a car so now I’m going to have to keep it clean and tidy!

Great forum here and looking forward to being part of the community.

New Celica ownerhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221413-new-celica-owner/ Hi everyone.

This weekend I got my dad's celica back on the road after sitting in the garage for 6 years.

New Battery and new fuel and it started 1st time no hesitation. Passed MOT with no advisories. 2004 celica VVTI 10,000 miles on the clock.

It is like a brand new car, never seen a drop of rain, even has the new car smell inside too.

Now just have to wash the dust off and give it a good wax and polish

Look forward to having a dig round the forums.

New member - Celica Sports M TRDhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221374-new-member-celica-sports-m-trd/ Hi everyone, thought I'd just say hello after making this account and recently purchasing a Celica TRD Sports M, waiting another month and a bit til I turn 25 so I can get classic insurance quotes. Any info on insurance of Celicas as a young driver would be appreciated as I got my dad to call up just to see what he would be quoted and they did say Celicas are classed as performance vehicles, still waiting for them to call him back atm. Any other people on here with Sports M give me a shout 🚙
