99 corolla hatch back 1.3 4ef

petrol gauge is broken it reads ful when is empty its goes bk to normal somethimes but when i start up and drive it goes full again :?? iv fitted a new fuel pump and it dident fix the problim iv also checked the dash clock and everythin seems to be ok any help ??
