Scratch remover recommendations?

Suggestions please! My metallic paint finish 18 month old RAV4.5 has disappointingly picked up more fine scratches than any other car I ever had. I normally use Autiglym paint renovator however is there anything else I could try that will also work on the piano black gloss plastic exterior trim? I also find many of the interior plastic sections very susceptible to scratching, far more than my previous Volvo or Vw’s and Audi’s. Is there anything I can use to restore the black?

Frostyballs had two recommendations:

1.  Do not use 'Back to Black'.

2.  Use Autoglym Bumper and Trim Gel.

It does not remove scratches as T Cut does for paint.  Plastic it far harder than paint.  What it does do is get rid of white residue or dirt in the rough plastic surface.   It does not need to be applied after washing unless necessary.   

I lent mine to my neighbour and he used it but left one strip untouched.   That was grey, the rest were black.  He bought a bottle. 

As it is a gel I think it actually provides a water resistant coat.  I have not given a second application after 2 months.

The external piano black trim is black through and through. It is not painted plastic. The interior plastics are an incredibly thin black plastic coating on a grey/white backing. Totally unfit for purpose being too easily marked and scratched.
