I hope everyone is well.

I'm new to this forum, so I apologise if this the wrong place to post this.

However, I require so help to identify what wheels these are and the rough estimate on how much they are worth.

This may be a silly question for some, just a bit of background on these wheels. They were purchased many years ago for a friend that never collected and have remained with me ever since. (Have the full set)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Jeevs

Trackace wheel alignment gaugehttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/219908-trackace-wheel-alignment-gauge/ I recently bought one of these: http://www.trackace.co.uk/

Totally impressed. I have used lots of different types of tracking gauges in the last 50 years and I cannot remember any that were as repeatable as this one and it is cheap. It is a bit fiddly to set up and it is not absolute in relation to the car, only the pair of wheels you are tracking with respect to each other.

I gave £45 for this one off Gumtree. That is not a lot more than it costs to have it done at a place of ill repute (personal opinion).

I was surprised no one has mentioned it before when I searched. If it has been discussed before then just delete the thread.

Correct tyre pressureshttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/219060-correct-tyre-pressures/ Does anyone know the correct PSI for the front and rear tyres on the new Corolla Excel Hybrid 2l and has anyone tried to set the tyre pressure warnings on this model as the manual instructions are mind warping as I had a nervous breakdown after trying to decipher them god give me strength.

Damage assessmenthttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/218026-damage-assessment/ Hi,

I noticed some damage to the side of my tyre. I have kerbed the wheel when more or less got the car, but this damage is further away from the damage in the alloy so likely another occurrence.

I know sidewall damage is a no no and immediate replacement, I’m a little unsure with how much damage is needed. Please see attached photos to assess whether I should replace.

many thanks

Need opinion on tyre pleasehttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/214550-need-opinion-on-tyre-please/ Hi,

I have a laufenn eq+ that has only done about 6k miles and it looks like the pictures attached. Sorry they are not the best angle.

This was the osf but I moved it to the nsr a month or so ago.

How do you work out the middle 3/4 exactly? Is it as simple as 205 - 75% ÷ 2 then it has to be 1.6mm that far in?

It came up as an advisory on mot in April. Would you say it's done for already or close to it?

Rim size changes.https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/202761-rim-size-changes/ Hi,

Just purchased a Yaris Cross with Dynamic trim which comes with 18'' as standard. I'm now aware the Design trim comes with 17'' rims and offers better MPG. Would it be possible to change to 17'' from 18'' and see a change in MPG, with out affecting gear ratio etc? Thanks.

I was very luckyhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/213897-i-was-very-lucky/ So i decided it was time to check my brakes and wheels. Had a sound 2 weeks after renewing brakes a while back. And a slight knocking apparently.

Came home from work. The noise was very lound and i decided time to jack and look. And it turns out there was slight heat damage to the back of the pad and a bolt not tight,Caliper bottom bolt, so i cleaned ut all. And greased where there is metsl to metal contact and removed a peice of shim. Went on a test drive to get coffee and. I seem to fixed it.

Thought i share this story. Always check your nuts.

Is anyone aware if approved used toyotas have a minimum tread depth other than the legal limit?

Bmw as an example are 3mm under their AUC.

2006 yaris t spirit alloy issuehttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/213837-2006-yaris-t-spirit-alloy-issue/ Hi everyone, I'm after some advise I have a 2006 yaris t spirit but one alloy seems to be failing tyre goes down sometimes a couple days some times less. Had new tyre and valve and tested jn a water tank and no bubbles. Come to yhe conclusion it coukd be the alloy? So it's a 185/60r15 tyre as per manufacturer but it seems this size is hard to find for a reasonable price.... so could I use 175/60/r15 size alloys instead. Woukd this be an issue. Obviously I woukd change all 4 to this size. Any advise greatly appreciated. Or if someone's got a set kicking around at a reasonable price!  😃

Thanks in advance.

Good recent Tyre review 205/55/16https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/213147-good-recent-tyre-review-2055516/ https://youtu.be/3ZsWD4N0yds

My car got the falkens on the front and Goodyear EGP1 on the back. The falkens did well for a mid range tyre. Goodyear EGP2 which some members have very good experience with performed very well. Although it cost more than the falkens it had 0.7mm more depth.

Have every intention to change to this size and Goodyear EGP2 when new Yaris design requires tyre changing.

Tyre trouble... puncture repair (or not)https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/195240-tyre-trouble-puncture-repair-or-not/ TPMS light came on when I set off on the school run today, and I found the nearside front was deflated to about 22 PSI. Long story short - slow puncture, from something pretty tiny (looks a lot like a thorn) embedded in the inner edge, very close to the sidewall. I imagine that will rule out any long term repairs, which is a total p.i.t.a. as this is a Conti PremiumContact5 with plenty of life left in it.

Anyway, problem is, we have only one car and have another school run to do in the morning, and I'm looking at this bottle of goo that Toyota provide these days instead of a spare, and it has a warning on about using only if the puncture is in the tread - not for sidewall damage. Well I'd say this is pretty much on the boundary (and a tiny hole), so I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and use the sealant so we can get through tomorrow and hopefully have a replacement tyre fitted over the weekend.

I understand that repairs generally aren't done to sidewall damage because the sidewall has to withstand greater load and the repair process might weaken it. Presumably the sealant warning is for a similar reason, i.e. that it's hard to be sure whether the repair will hold given the forces involved? But given the nature of this puncture and the journey involved (about 10 mins at low to moderate speed) I wonder if it will be OK. Obviously don't want to take undue risks, but also reluctant to miss out on school when the kids are only just settling back in (and no buses at the right time and don't fancy getting a taxi at the moment).

So, if anyone has experience or views on how to interpret that warning and how cautious (or not) to be, I'd be grateful for your advice. Also, is the sealant just single-use, and if so, does anyone know whether it's best to get a replacement bottle from a dealership or are there more economical sources?

Bulges on tyreshttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/195957-bulges-on-tyres/ Once I saw a man carrying a van tyre complaining about bulge on it. It was the first incident I saw like that in my life. I was wondering how it could be. What is the cause for this? As I felt, it was  a very dangerous condition as there is a chance to explode the tyre suddenly  it when someone was driving a vehicle with a tyre  like that.

Wheel Fitment for a 1992 AE101 Levin Gthttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/210017-wheel-fitment-for-a-1992-ae101-levin-gt/ Hey I just bought a Ae101 Levin apex gt from Japan. I’m in the US and I can’t find information about wheel fitment, I know a lot of people run 16s and 17s can be done with skinny tires but I’m wondering if anybody knows if there will be problems with the width. I want to buy 8” wide wheels (16x8 wheels) and I’m wondering if I’ll have any kind of issues with that.
