Walton Bridge Meet, Surrey...https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/156658-testing-the-water-walton-bridge-meet-surrey/Hello there folks...

I have been keen to start a little meet every 'quarter' of the year so I just thought I'd put the idea out there and see who would be interested...

I was thinking about doing a mid-morning meet on a Sunday... The location is great being near(ish) to the A3, M3 and M25... There is a large parking area and a good little scran hut for you good people to get fried nosh and fizzy beverages!

Anything, and everything classic vehicle wise will be more than welcome. I am very keen to get a wide range of machinery from a wide range of era's so I'm going to embrace the 'open arms' approach in the hope it encourages a load of people to come along... Having said that I would like to impose a pre-1992 rule!

I was thinking about doing the last weekends of the following months... January, April, July and October.

If you think this is a good idea and you'd be keen to come along please do let me know.

If the interest is there I will shout it from every proverbial rooftop I can find so as to ensure a good turnout...

Let me know what you good people think and I'll take it from there.

Many thanks, Ash...

Creaking Clutch Master Cylinderhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/135299-creaking-clutch-master-cylinder/I have a 2008 avensis tourer diesel, bought it about 8 months ago and it is still under warranty. I have an intermittent problem with the clutch pedal, sometimes when the pedal is pressed it makes a creaking noise, it will do this for probably 30/ 40 presses an then just stop the creaking, it always seems to do it when I am not near the T dealer. When it is making the noise if I place my hand on the master cylinder I can actually feel it vibrating, there doesn't seem to be much point in taking it in when it is working ok. What I need to know is has anyone out there experienced the same problem and should I be worried about it.

Charityvtunnel Run-Jaehttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/127775-charityvtunnel-run-jae/Mods please move to relevant section please or delete if inappropriate, thanks,,

The JAE Tunnel Run!

MissBanzai has decided to take a Tunnel Run and turn it on its head!

The MissBanzai team are now famous for their Tunnel Run's, and have decided that their end of year run should be a little bit different.

MissBanzai.com has teamed up with the Staff at JAE (Japanese Auto Extravaganza) and The Ace Cafe to bring you The JAE Tunnel Run!

Please read the details below.

*** Note this is for Japanese cars only - no exceptions.. non Jap cars will be refused entry ***

The run will kick off at the new location ofAveley Sports & Social Club, Purfleet Road, South Ockendon, RM15 4DT on Thursday 8th September from 9:30pm.

Maps will be handed out on arrival to those who have purchased a JAE Ticket (tickets can be purchased either through your club or online here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250847699859&ssPageNam e=STRK:MESELX:IT ) and that's it. No Tunnel Run entry fee just your JAE ticket - and we are still giving £5 for every person to charity!

There will be no entry to the site after 11pm so please arrive on time.

There will be a stop off at the end of the tunnel run at the famous Ace Cafe, who are opening especially for us. We will then move on from The Ace and Convoy to JAE, where tunnel runners will receive complimentary bacon rolls and coffee. You will then have priority entrance and be able to go to your relevant club stands and begin your weekend of JAE fun.

A donation of £5 from each ticket purchased will be going to MissBanzai's favourite charity The London Air Ambulance.

This is MissBanzai's 7th tunnel run and we are looking forward to hopefully making this bigger and better.

-Please arrive at the Aveley Sports & Social Club no earlier than 9.30pm.

**PLEASE NOTE this is a residential area so please drive carefully and respectfully when entering and leaving the start point**

-There will be a £1 per person cash charge entry fee on the gate to cover hire costs etc.

-This event is for Japanese cars only.. nothing else! There will be marshals on the gate and anything non Jap will be turned away (we have turned away many non Jap's including a Lambo in the past).

- One ticket per person will be required to attend the run, please bring your ticket with you as you will need it to do the run and access the show.

-Please remember to drive safely and responsibly on site - anyone not doing so will be asked to leave.

-You will need to bring sat nav / London A-Z for when you get lost. A passenger / map reader is also essential!

We have a few companies who will be awarding prizes on the night for the best turned out cars of the evening. The prizes could be awarded to any Jap cars from Civics to Skylines... so get polishing!!! Prize to be confirmed

Hope to see some of you there!

Any questions please drop a mail to missbanzai@googlemail..com or post your questions on your appropriate forum where a member of the MissBanzai or JAE team will endeavour to answer it as soon as possible.

If you own an associated company and would like to get involved (prize giving, possible advertising etc) then please get in touch with the MissBanzai team on the above email address.

We had approx 450 cars from various different Jap car clubs along last time, and have raised over £14,000 on-line for various charities to date, so make sure you come along and be part of it this and help raise some cash for a very worthy cause!

If people ask questions that you are not sure the answer of then please also post them here and one of the staff will give you an answer.

Please remember that we only wanted this posted on Japanese car sites, and please do not post this as an event on Facebook or any other social networking sites.

Many thanks

:: Hybrid Engine Research Project ~ Earn £50 For 2Hrs Chatting ::https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/125363-hybrid-engine-research-project-~-earn-%C2%A350-for-2hrs-chatting/We are looking for owners of Toyota cars fitted with the hybrid engines (Prius, Auris, Camry, Highlander, etc) in the London area that would be willing to attend a focus group in early June.

The research has been commissioned by a major car manufacturer and is being conducted to help them get some clearer insights in the thoughts, opinions and feelings of existing users of alternative drive train vehicles.

The focus group in Central London (W1) would last for 2 hours for which you'd be paid £50 for participating, and is completely confidential. It is in no way a sales pitch or presentation and you wouldn't be contacted again after the group. We are running two groups, so there are two to choose from as follows:

* Group A: Monday 6th June @ 6:00pm

* Group B: Wednesday 8th June @ 6:00pm

Unfortunately, due to our budget, we can't provide travel expenses, so in all probability this project may only be of interest to people living or working in the London area (sorry to all of you that aren't/don't!)

If you are interested in participating, please get in touch for further details, and please make sure to include the following information when doing so:

* Your name:

* Your contact email:

* Your preferred group:

* Your car make:

* Your car model:

* The year your car was first registered:

Please reply to projects@interiority.info and also please feel free to take a look at our website to maybe set your mind at rest that we aren't a bunch of scoundrels!

Kindest regards

Jon

Jap Meet, 12th December Camberleyhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/104119-jap-meet-12th-december-camberley/Hi guys, i hope this is in the right place.

I am organsing a meet on the 12th december at camberley meadows. All cars are welcome, (especially jap motors) and there seems to be quite a bit of interest on other forums. details are as follows:

8pm onwards

Satnav: GU47 0FD.

It is across the road from Blackwater Train station.

the meet itself will be situated in the far corner, turn right as you enter, then follow it around untill nearly the end. you should see where it is by looking for a big group of cars. (the side by the petrol station)

I am in talks with some mags, and if i can promise a good turnout then they may well be in attendance. You might even get yourself a feature!

This will be a static meet, although afterwards if members want then there are a few good roads in the area (please drive in sensible manner). There is a petrol station and 24hr shop on-site, and a few takeaways not far away. The local police will be informed, so please arrive and leave without a huge cloud of tyre smoke

I look forward to meeting you all, please add your name and car to the list.

the details are as follows:

The moment you have all been waiting for.. the event of 2009! (Well so far anyway)

The MSG also funds and promotes medical research that improves diagnosis, treatment, management and understanding of these diseases.

Charity Registration No 327791

Please take the time to go to...

http://www.justgiving.com/missbanzaitunnelrun

and register your donation which will qualify your car to enter the Tunnel Run and give you a map for the route..

Quick notes...

If you have never done a tunnel run before the following is a good thing.

Remember you will be following typed instructions, with possibly a few sat ****** locations and a few pics of maps.

We cannot supply map books to everyone, so a map book of London of your own would be a really useful thing to have in the car.

Also a co-pilot is rather vital.. you will be driving round London on a Saturday night so someone to read you directions and point out road names helps loads!

Walkie Talkies.. these are not only really handy, but really good fun as well.

SimonAirHeadz is the man to speak to with regards to what type you need.

If you have never done a Tunnel Run before, the aim of the night is to drive round London taking in as many tunnels as possible, and making as much noise as possible whilst going through them

We must note that the Tunnel Run is NOT a race, MissBanzai tbdevelopments and skyinsurance do not condone any unsafe or dangerous driving.

Please cut and paste this on any other forums that you may be a member of as all clubs are welcome.

And don't forget.. it is in Feb, the weather could be very cold so bring the thermal undies.

i look forward to seeing you all there guys so as usual lets get a list together of who is up for it.
