The event is organised by the MR2 Drivers Club and they have already had more than 600 cars registered to attend (200 more than at this point last year).

The good news is, you do not need to be a member of the MR2DC, you do not even need to own an MR2. There will be Toyotas of many different kinds and other clubs representing other models. The event is sponsored by Toyota GB among others.

Find out more and register at the MR2 Drivers Club page.

Note: I do not organise this or represent the MR2DC - I just found this information interesting.

Toyota-Only Track Day - Blyton Park - Saturday 19Th Julyhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/158941-toyota-only-track-day-blyton-park-saturday-19th-july/Hi all,

I hope you don't mind me posting this here as a new member, I hope I'm not breaking any rules.

Originally starting as an MR2 track day, Javelin has agreed to hold a Toyota-only track day at Blyton Park for any Toyota owners on Saturday 19th July:

http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/trackday/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=835itemid&vmcchk=1&Itemid=1

All levels of experience are most welcome - Blyton is a lovely technical track that also benefits from miles of Armco-free run-off areas. I'll be there in my Mk1 MR2 Supercharger, but it'd be great to see as many other Toyotas there as possible.

Just to reassure you, I'm not affiliated with Javelin or Blyton in any way, I'm just an enthusiast trying to organise a day that can be enjoyed by as many people as possible! There are already a variety of cars signed up, and several of us will be heading up the day before and staying in the Premier Inn at S$%&^(*)Ihorpe (rooms currently at a mere £29).

Cost per car is £139 for the day on an open-pit format, with small additional charges for helmet hire, passenger passes and tuition. All very reasonable for a track-day in July on a Saturday.

Any questions let me know! :)

Cheers

Ben

The Les Ackroyd Memorial MR2-ROC Open Eventhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/173949-the-les-ackroyd-memorial-mr2-roc-open-event/ :( :D The Les Ackroyd Memorial Open Event :D :(
Saturday 23rd of July 2016
Chatswoth House, Derbyshire
Parking from 10am £6:00 per car

A BBQ (keeping with Les's style) is being arranged for the day (details coming soon)

This "Very Open Event" is being hosted by the MR2-ROC.

As many of you will know our dear friend Les died on the way to the MR2-DC 25th anniversary Event only a month or so ago.

Les was driving his beloved Silver MR2 Roadster doing what he loved, driving to an event.

Les loved MR2 events and organising runs some of which are legendary, he will be sorely missed.

To honour him and all his efforts on behalf of all the clubs and people he has helped along the way, I've been asked by so many to organise this car event to celebrate and remember with Anne, his wife, that Les would have so loved.

This car meet fittingly should not be a sombre dirge but a joyous loud party of cars, full of colour as Les was.

A BBQ is also being arranged for the day in keeping with Les's style (details coming soon).

In consultation with Anne and the committee of the MR2-ROC, Due to the nature of this event I am pleased to invite you all to a "Very Open Event" all are invited no matter what.

This very open invitation is to other clubs and groups for their members to attend as our guests,

As we are aware he was involved and well respected in a number of groups and clubs beyond the MR2 communities .

You are invited to come and pay your respects in true Les style whether you are a current member or not, even banned members are invited.

Please feel free to share this event on FB or any forum and invite anyone who may be interested as we know his memory, friendship and influence extended far and wide.

Numbers are not a problem as we have up to 800 spaces available.

Convoys from all parts of the country and further afield (some French cars may come over) will and can be arranged, Chatsworth was picked as it pretty much central for everyone.

If you are prepared to lead or join a convoy from your area please indicate where you are and a brief direction of your journey.

Club Trackday Invite, Oulton Park Nov 2Ndhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/138422-club-trackday-invite-oulton-park-nov-2nd/Just a quick heads up that we are running another Trackaction-Online club trackday at Oulton Park on Friday Nov 2nd.

This is a regular event we've been running for five years now and 90% of our entries come from our forum and other club groups so it’s always a friendly day out, free tuition will be available from our ARDS instructors and obviously we’ll be running open pitlane.

Cost is £130 per car/driver, bookings can be made at OUR SHOP, we can also do deals for groups of 5+

Please post up on here or message me with any questions or to sort group bookings.

Hope it’s still OK to put this up on here and that a few of you will be able to make it along.

Teamscorpio Presents Crewsvs Uk Xtreme Auto Olympics 2012 (Xao)https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/136668-teamscorpio-presents-crewsvs-uk-xtreme-auto-olympics-2012-xao/

xaoflyer1stcopy.jpg

What is The CrewsVs UK Xtreme Auto Olympics 2012?

This event is a UK first, one of a kind and its what the public within the auto mobile sector have craved for years. The concept is simple :

5 Disciplines (Show & Shine, Audio, Burnout, Drift, Time Trial)

Over 25 Different events to compete in

To explain further, we are in contact with a minimum of 1000 willing individuals (including a large number of car clubs) from around the UK to take part against each other in 5 Disciplines which are Show & Shine, Audio, Burnout, Drift and Time Trial. To make this a fair competition we have broken the five disciplines into 27 different categories so no one will need to be punching above their weight. I.e for Time Trial we would not put a 3000cc or under naturally aspirated vehicle in the same category as a forced air inducted vehicle. Within each event 1st, 2nd and 3rd place also obtain points for their respected teams, the team with the most points wins the Team Event as a whole (If competitors are within a Car Club). This Event will be filmed and aired by CrewsVs UK on Showcase TV 2 as the finale of the Season of 2012 along with a host of media online and paper magazines across the world including MyMod Magazine, WorldTuningFans.com, Talk Audio, Speed Gurilla, Fast Car Magazine, Fueled Magazine and much much more.

The categories are as follows :

Dodo Juice Show & Shine :- Best European Car, Best Asian Car, Best American Car, Ultimate Pre 93 Retro, Best Exotic, Best in-car Multimedia,

Audio (EMMA Format):- SPL Master EQ,SPL Advanced EQ, SPL Experienced EQ, Up to 4 Woofers, Up to 2 Woofers.

Time Trials :- Front Wheel Drive, Rear Wheel Drive, 4 Wheel Drive, Naturally Aspirated 3000cc and below.

Maxolen Drift (Drift One Format):- Club Level, Pro.

MyMod Burnout :-Ultimate Burnout, Largest Flamed Car.

CrewVs UK Awards 2012 :- Miss XAO, Overall Team Winner, Best Car Club of 2012, Best Meet of 2012, Best Car Show of 2012, More to be announced.

Over the course of the 2 days whilst the participants are competing, there will be a number of attractions on side to keep the competitors and general public entertained which include :

Proceeding of the two dates are as follows :-

15th September :-

Run what you Brung Sessions

Qualifications of Time Trials discipline

Qualifications of Maxolen Drift discipline

Traders Stands

Food Stands

Bar Area Open Till 11pm

Camping Facilities

16th September :-

Finals Day of all 5 Disciplines

Food and Drinks Stand

Bar Area

Live Entertainment Performances

Presentation of CrewsVs UK XAO Winners Ceremony

Presentation of the CrewsVs UK Best of 2012 Awards

We feel this is a UK first, being able to get the hardcore enthusiasts of the auto mobile scene and the general public more involved with a car show concept like never before. Two days packed with fun filled action and an atmosphere which we doubt will be rivalled by anyone in the UK. We feel that the CrewsVs UK Xtreme Auto Olympics has all the ingredients to be a massive success, so get your camping gear ready and be prepared for The Road Block Event of 2012!!!!!

Cost :-

£20 per car / Owner which includes competing in one event.

Jae 2011 Can't Wait For 2012https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/128869-jae-2011-cant-wait-for-2012/Well having just returned from JAE (my first visit to this event) I can quite happily say I will be back next year, the buzz about the place was amazing and the cars there had me sounding like Andy out of little britain (I want that one!!!!)

We had a great turnout on the stand with 20 cars and around 30 people camping, pretty much all Toyotas barring a few cars, the atmosphere was great throughout the weekend and the weather was pretty good too, the wind was strong this morning so it was a bit tricky putting the tents and gazebo away. I would like to thank those that supported us to make this possible and hope that we can do it again next year, maybe a few more people will join us for 2012 and we can make this a regular and succesful event for anyone into their cars.

It was really nice to meet some of the members from here and the other forums that I am active on and would suggest that if you haven't been to JAE before then you need to tag along or sort out something for yourself for 2012, again I would like to thank those that gave their support to make this the success it was (you know who you are  ) and look forward to doing it again in 2012.

Once I get round to it I will put up some pics

C A E 2011https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/127502-c-a-e-2011/First of all a HUGE thanks goes to Michelle & Ian for hosting as well as helping to organise this years event held at their lovely home. An event which has to be the best so far and will take some beating. Their none stop hospitality, the availability of endless tea/coffee/pop etc, facilities that spoiled us rotten (the hot tub was my favourite....so was the swimming pool.....and the pool table......)! The food was ok.......................nah, it was bloody fantastic!!! We certainly appreciated the Saturday evening buffet prepared and superbly presented by Michelle & Ian (with all the fantastic assistants)

Thanks must also go to both Toyota Owners Club and Roadster Owners Club for their support and contributions: the evening buffet, as well as the Treasure Hunt trophy - were greatly appreciated by us all.

My personal thanks have to go to EVERYONE attending who came from far and near, the old familiar faces and the those who were new to club meets, you all made this weekend the success it has been, making the time and effort put in to organising the event very worthwhile indeed.

To those that couldn't make it for various reasons, I hope you can attend any future meets that will be planned....

C A E 2011https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/120169-c-a-e-2011/Well, It's time to start thinking about this years CAE

Following on with the success of previous years I have managed to get a location reasonably central in the Peterborough area, this happens to be with a couple of fantastic members from Roc who hosted a meet last year and are willing to let us loose on this years get together.

The rough itinerary for now (subject to arrangements) will be a Friday to Sunday meet (as with CAE) which will hopefully go something like this........

Friday.....Meet & Greet.......Get shopping for those that need it (saves space in the car)......Takeaway in the evening......Socialise.

Saturday..........Breakfast........Treasure hunt........Pub Lunch / photo opportunity...........Evening BBQ........More socialising

Sunday.........Breakfast..........Slow recovery.............Pack up.........The end

I'm sure there will be other things in the pipeline but this is how things are at the moment, also because of certain occurrences last year :( There will be a deposit payable with final settlement just before the event once the details are worked out.

Just to remind you......
