OBD Scanner for Toyota HiAce

Can anyone recommend a scanner that works with a touring hiace 2002 has I have purchased three so far and not one has can be recognised. Thank you in advance

It's diesel I take it, diesels before 2003-2005 are obd2 but not fully compliant most use K-line - what readers have you tried ?

petrol 2.7 with lpg conversion

have tried

Autel universal nt500

Obdstar x-100 pros

Super k+can

Geniscan gs400

Without any luck

Do they connect or attempt to connect ? or don't they power up

do you mean a Foxwell NT500 if so that is a VAG tool

X100 is a key programmer

Super K+CAN is another VAG tool

Geniscan gs400 - this is a can bus only tool

2002 should be OBD2 if it's not a diesel, if it's a jdm van it may be JODB

You can still do a paperclip test (link 2 pins and count the flashes)

earlier cars used the 23-pin diagnostics (obd1)

I used a Topdon Artilink 600 to diagnose failed ABS sensor on the front  right wheel, not many do body and ABS diagnostic but I tested the sensor with a meter and it was indeed faulty. So far nice unit.
