Does anyone happen to have, or know where I could obtain either a clutch master cylinder, or rebuild kit / seals for one, for a 1975 RH11 HiAce (part #31410)?

I've not been able to find either. Have been in touch with a company about rebuilding it, but they said they would need to obtain new seals. I'm hoping for the best but realistically not expecting them to find them.

I have a master cylinder for the later (1977 on) RH11 but the mounting hole spacing is different, and it looks quite a bit different so wouldn't expect the seals to be the same (although I could take both apart and check).

If all else fails, is there anywhere that supplies seals by size that may fit? Or even make custom size seals?

Any help much appreciated!

Brake booster/servo unithttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221108-brake-boosterservo-unit/ Hi all,

I'm looking for a brake booster/servo unit for my Hiace Commuter LH71 (2.4L diesel). Having trouble finding this part so I thought id ask the fine folks on this forum. Ive searched eBay and online part stores. Ive almost always found parts this way, its not usually much of a problem to get them, but this brake servo seems a little trickier.

Can anyone recommend where I might look?

Im in Australia btw.

Hiace Stalling and No crankhttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/221046-hiace-stalling-and-no-crank/ 1997 Toyota Hiace KZH138 with the 1KZ-TE engine. Van will intermittently stall while driving (on the highway). Most often it will start back up after coasting to the side of the road. On occassion it will take some time before it will start again. When it won't start I notice the CEL and Glow plug lights are not illuminated.
Now it won't start at all, again all lighs on dash illuminate when key is ON or ACC but not the CEL or glow plug. It won't crank, no clicking from starter. When it stalled on highway there was no sputtering, engine just shuts off without any symptoms or warning.

Altenator is new, voltage at Battery is 12+ when off and 14.4 when running. ECU was swapped and no change. Replaced 2 relays (spill valve and diesel main engine) and no change. Starter was rebuilt a year ago and no issues since, again it won't even click likes electricity is getting to the starter.

Any ideas on where to start?

<![CDATA[Hiace rear spring sizes & suppliers]]>https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/220960-hiace-rear-spring-sizes-suppliers/ Hi,

Been advised that our rear springs need replacing at some point on our 2002 Hiace Devon campervan (Diesel), but the garage can't find the right parts. Anyone know what size they should be and recommend a supplier?

Toyota Hiace diesel camper squeaky belthttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/220461-toyota-hiace-diesel-camper-squeaky-belt/ Hi guys , my hiace 1995 , diesel, had a new timing belt fitted a while ago now it keeps squealing ( or another belt) so it needs to be tightened . I've looked for video s and can't find any in english or any manuals has anyone done this themselves? I think I have to remove the drivers seat , but I'm not sure how to lose and tighten the tensioner , garages don't want to do it because it's an import and a long wheel base so they say they can't get it up on a ramp . Looking for advice , does this job need a ramp ? Or can I get underneath and reach up ?

Thanks in advance if anyone can help .

1992 Hiace, super custom Ltd. 2.4 LTE D. Block drain plughttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/220836-1992-hiace-super-custom-ltd-24-lte-d-block-drain-plug/ Hello,

Has anybody actually managed to get access to the block drain plug and remove it with the engine in situ? I can just see it under the diesel pump, but haven't found a way to get a socket on it. I don't know if it can be reached by removing the cover in the front nearside wheel arch. I didn't have enough time to investigate that.

Subtle ticking noisehttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/220801-subtle-ticking-noise/ Hi all,

First post here. I have a 2008 150k 2.5l d4d Hiace. UK spec.

It has what I can only describe as a ticking noise that comes at 1500-2000rpm under no load. Seems to be to be around the passenger side of the engine (that's as you look in the engine bay off to the right hand side. Just sounds bad. Fine at idle, and I can't hear anything around 2500rpm.

Not sure where to start, it's not a belt or pulley, it's not the turbo by the looks of where the noise is originating.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks,

Adam

Low power 2.5 d4d 117hphttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/220649-low-power-25-d4d-117hp/ Hi

I have recently replaced all 4 injectors, fuel filter, engine oil + filter and timing belt. car starts and runs as normal, but there is very low power.

No smoke, no dtc, nothing.

Any clues what the problem could be?

Timing belt is right, injector is showing close to 0 on feedback values

1998 Hiace - No air through center ventshttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/220411-1998-hiace-no-air-through-center-vents/ Hi all

Just bought a 1998 Hiace (LWB, Petrol).

The fan and air conditioning seems to be working fine, the side vents are blowing strong and cold. The center vents, however, aren’t blowing at all.

I thought at first maybe the vent selector wasn’t working properly, and even when it’s set on regular fan at your face, there is a bit of air coming through the demister vents on the windscreen. But then when I flick the switch to demister vent, it gets a lot stronger… so now I’m thinking that probably isn’t the issue.

Has anyone else had this issue? I’d be very grateful for any knowledge or advice you have to share!

Thanks

Anyone in Australia imported a 90s Hiace recently?https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/220415-anyone-in-australia-imported-a-90s-hiace-recently/ Hi all. First post - hoping someone can help.

I'm emigrating to Australia in August. I have a 92 Hiace Super GL camper conversion that began life in Japan. It’s currently in the UK.

I know there are plenty of these vans around in Australia, but selling my van in the UK could prove difficult. Even though there are lots of costs and hassles involved with importing, I might still be better off bringing the van with me … if I can get it through all the various stages.

Has anyone tried to do this lately (from anywhere - not just the UK)? I keep reading about Australia’s asbestos tests for imports. Wondered if anyone had fallen foul of this?

Thanks in advance.

Al

3L engine layouthttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/219718-3l-engine-layout/ Hello, been off the forum for ages while rebuilding my seized 3L engine, 1994 Campervan. It's been so long since we stripped the engine, and can't remember where the last few bits go! Does anyone have images of the top of the engine, where, I think, should be a fuel break vacuum switch, with two vacuum pipes off the diesel pump on the other side of the engine, which cross over the rocker box. Thanks, Steve

alarm for Hiacehttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/213065-alarm-for-hiace/ have had my Hiace for a year now. Im looking into wiring in an alarm however I have no idea where to find the right cables I need to tap in to and redirect them to the alarm. can somebody please help me with maybe a guide or wiring diagram. im looking into the mongoose alarm with gps tracker. I supposes I need to find the cables that go to the indicators, door contact switches, ignition, fuel pump, acc, ect... It would also be great to know about all the spare connectors behind the dash board for aux switches as I have noticed them all around the van in odd locations and wondering if they are connected to the acc to uses as a relay coil to switch contracts.

Toyota HiAce 2004 left ABS Sensor "discontinued" How to Fix?https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/214617-toyota-hiace-2004-left-abs-sensor-discontinued-how-to-fix/ Hello Toyota Owner's Club. Com

Well, it’s been some months now and having joined various forums and exhaustive internet searches, still haven’t sourced this Front Left ABS Sensor (part no: 89543-26130). I sent out three letters to Toyota HQ Japan without a response, and around thirty-five emails to breaker’s yards, eBay and ABS specialists worldwide, plus three orders from Japan processed but cancelled as they then couldn’t get the part.
The best chance I have now is having found a breaker selling parts for another HiAce, but as there’s no guarantee it will fit and with a hefty refund penalty, I’m hoping we have some Wiz Mechanics or Toyota Masters who can answer my queries below please:

 • Will an ABS or even the entire wheel drum from this 2002 Toyota Grand Hiace/Granvia 3.4 V6 Auto 8 Seater MPV fit my model (below left), which is two years newer/registered 2004?
 • If not, what other models and years of HiAce should I be looking for as a used wheel drum complete or ABS from the breaker yards, please?
 • Any other suggestions regards fixes or get-arounds would be Most Welcome? Thank You

My vehicle details.
Toyota HiAce (not sure what model).
First registered 01.02.2004
Petrol fuelled on a 3370cc engine
The VIN number is VCH28-0002413 (the number plate is on an import so invalid for parts)

As always, Thank You for any advice that maybe helps to sort this out!
Sincerely Yours, David (Newlyn, Penzance, Cornwall)

Adding a passenger airbag to a 2013 KDH206V Hiacehttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/216259-adding-a-passenger-airbag-to-a-2013-kdh206v-hiace/ Hello,

I have a 2013 KDH206V Hiace without a passenger airbag, and I was wondering if it was possible to fit one. There's a compartment where the airbag would be if fitted. Would fitting one involve simply adding the airbag to this slot? Maybe a per-tensioner for the seat belt too? Or is the wiring and ECU different for models with twin-airbags. I'd only get Toyota or an authorized auto mechanic to fit the airbag, just wondering if this is possible before selling my van.

Thanks!

1992 2.7lt Diesel Toyota Hiace - Mileage Advicehttps://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/219524-1992-27lt-diesel-toyota-hiace-mileage-advice/ I am debating whether to start renting my van out, it is at 150,000 miles currently, I want to know if adding a bunch of miles on to this diminish the value? I know this is generally the rule but is anyone clued up on these vans specifically and mileage averages?

Thanks, Charlie
