Transformer Assembly failure

Hi,

We have had Toyota Proace City EV from new for under 2 years. After charging this week it would not start so had to get it taken to Platinum Toyota in Bath (on the back of a truck as all brakes on when electric vehicles fail!). Just been told it has a Transformer Assembly failure. Spare part not in the country and will not be here until middle of May so no vehicle for 4 weeks. We have already had a recall for software update last year. 

This seems a major part failure for a new electric vehicle so wanted to hear if anyone else has had same issue and if it is a known fault?

Hi Neil, I assume this will be carried out under warranty as the cost can be considerably. Have Toyota not offered a courtesy car for you whilst its off the road.

Yes it will be covered under warrantee but funny enough Platinum said they had not spare vehicles and asked me to call Toyota to get a Compass Case Number which I did yesterday. I have been told Toyota will come back to me in up to 3 days. 

Not exactly feeling the love and have now been without a vehicle for a week. ☹️

Hi Neil, be persistent and explain how much you need the car and how it is effecting you without one. Obviously be polite but if you persist i am sure they will loan you one.
